This year we asked our past workshop attendees and email subscribers what workshops they would like to see in the next series. They voted and now we are scheduling them!

REGISTRATION is Now Open!!
October 2025 - April 2026, RISE will be offering online and a few in-person workshops for you . We will cover a variety of topics and the practice of RIE will be at the heart of each workshop. Sign-up for one or ALL! The fee for each workshop is $38 unless otherwise specified.
Workshops are geared to both parents and professionals working with young children and their families and have the practice of RIE® embedded in them. Hope to see you soon!

2025 ONLINE Workshops:
Wednesday, October 1st, 6:45-8:45 p.m. Central Time - Online - Kicking, Hitting, Biting, Tantrums…What do I do?
Gather tools and strategies to survive those rough parenting and/or caring moments with your child, while building connection and confidence for both of you.
Saturday, November 1st, 8:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Central Time - Online - Sleep Best Practices for Young Children
In this workshop we flesh out, “How do I invite sleep to the child?” Sleep is a most basic need for all human beings just has air and water is. Therefore, we ALL need sleep!! Come join us to learn about best practices around sleep and come away with a plan to support sleep for your child. This workshop is geared toward both parents and early childhood professionals in support of healthy sleep practices for the children in their care.
Tuesday & Wednesday, December 9 & 10, 1-2 p.m. Central Time - Online - Raising Self-Confident Children
What gets in the way of asking a question, advocating for yourself, trying for a new job position, doing something new, etc? SELF-CONFIDENCE!! Self-confidence is our best friend and without it, it can deter us from getting what we want or need. Come learn about ways to support self-confidence right from the start and what that means in how we parent and/or care for others children. I think it’s worth it!!

Wednesday, January 14th, 7-9 p.m. Central Time - Online - Supporting Language and Literacy through the Educaring® Approach
“Do those who practice RIE ever talk with their children?” Short answer… “yes, of course!” Long answer and often a topic of conversation that comes up in this practice is, “How does Educaring, RIE’s Approach to caring, support a child’s language development while not interfering with their focused work and/or playtime?” Come join me and let’s discuss!!
Saturday, February 7th, 9-11 a.m. Central Time - Online - Eating at School and Home - Best Practices for Young Children
Learn best practice ways to support a healthy relationship with food both at home and school. We will dive into the adults role, holding boundaries, ways to deter picky eating, and support children in trying new foods.
Wednesday, March 4th, 6-8 p.m. Central Time - Online - Getting Active and Supporting Child-Led Movement in Children
The power of how we hold, connect, and move with children has great impact on a child’s life. Come learn about the power of movement and ways to support and enhance the movement activities in your program and/or home, both indoors and outdoors.

Tablets, TV’s, phones, laptops, and more!! What are the benefits and pitfalls of the screen? When to we use it? What are the outcomes of being on the screen? How do we manage a healthy and balanced relationship with the screen from the start?

The infant and toddler years are the time when one develops knowledge about all the skills needed to be in relationship. This is a critical time for us humans. Infant and toddler caregivers have a very important role that lasts a lifetime.
In this workshop, we will look at connection, what gets in the way, and how we can increase these opportunities for our children and ourselves.

Infant guru Magda Gerber says, “Caring is the Curriculum,” but what does that really mean and how do I not lose myself in the care. Caring for others can often drain us.
What are things you can do to take of yourself while taking care of others?
Come find balance and increase the joy in the care you provide each day.

INtroduction to RIE®
This 3-hour certified RIE® course offers an overview of Educaring™, instructed by a certified RIE® Associate. Topics include trust in the child, the guidelines of sensitive caregiving, facilitating optimal development through play, and communicating respect for children through our everyday interactions with them.
Before Baby™
This certified RIE® introductory course for those expecting, waiting to adopt, or thinking about becoming a parent we focus on building a strong relationship between you and your baby right from from the start tapping into the confidence within yourself as a parent and trust in your baby’s unique ability to show you the way.
RIE Foundations™: Theory and Observation
This RIE® certified Course is for those who want to learn more about Magda Gerber’s Educaring™ Approach. Course content includes gross motor, fine motor and social-emotional development of the infant - designing the environment - planning the curriculum - issues in parenting.
Family style dining in your program
Explore the moving parts of family style dining, what gets in the way, and how to
start or building on to what I’m already doing during mealtime. Did you know mealtime can be pleasant and support your pickiness of eaters? Come learn more!
Caring for the whole child
In the workshop we will look at environment, language, and care and its impact on the child. This is an interactive workshop that requires movement and participation throughout.
Seeing children through new eyes
In this two-day workshop we will dive into caring routines, observation and communication all through the lens of trust, respect, and authenticity. This work is inspired by Magda Gerber’s Educaring™ Approach and introduces students to this work.

This workshop is designed with the caregiving team in mind. This might be two teachers in the same classroom or building. Let’s uncover some of the best practices that support the team, child and family through respectful care.
Finding balance: For infants, toddlers and their caregivers
Balance… It takes a lifetime to achieve, or does it? In this session we will look at
what is means to find balance for yourselves and the children we care. We will explore where balance begins, what gets in the way, and how to create strategies to support finding balance physically, emotionally, and in our everyday.
Play as the academics
Come play with us while learning about play. In this workshop we discuss the
benefits and barriers to play while brainstorming how to get those everyday tasks done while meet our learning expectations for children.
Partner in sleep
We will take a glimpse of best practices around sleep routines and the power of observation. The question we will dive into is “How do we invite sleep to the child?”
